Prime Volleyball League 2024: Get schedule, live streaming and telecast details, teams and format (2024)

Prime Volleyball League 2024, the third season of India’s premier franchise volleyball competition, will be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu from February 15 to March 21.

Champions Ahmedabad Defenders face hosts Chennai Blitz in the opening game of the PVL 2024 on Wednesday while last year's runners-up Bengaluru Torpedoes will take on the Kolkata Thunderbolts, the inaugural champions, later on the same day.

All PVL 2024 matches will be live streamed and live telecasted in India.

This season, nine teams will compete for the title, with Delhi Toofans making their PVL debut.

The Prime Volleyball League 2024 will also see a change in format compared to last year with Super 5s being introduced.

Instead of the top four teams making the semi-finals after a single-legged round-robin league stage like last season, the top five teams will make the Super 5s, scheduled from March 11 to 18, this season.

In the PVL Super 5s playoff stage, the five teams will again compete in a round-robin format to determine the final three teams.

The team finishing first in the Super 5s will earn a direct qualification for the final on March 21 while the second and third-placed teams will compete in the Eliminator on March 19.

The winner of the Eliminator will be the second team in the final match, which will be held at the SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium.

Besides the title, the PVL 2024 winner will also qualify for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship to be held in India from December 9 to 15 later this year.
